CIP Operator

Department: Food Safety and Quality
Office: Main Street
Location: Germantown, WI
Shift: 2nd Shift

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute SSOP for assigned tasks.
  • Execute and document assigned Master Sanitation Schedule tasks.
  • Execute silo CIP as needed
  • Execute Stork dropline CIP as needed
  • Assist operators in Stork CIP and environmental cleaning.
  • Assist in spoilage investigations.
  • Assist/execute biofilm reduction activities
  • Execute (PM’s) preventive maintenance on check balls, spray ball inspections, chemical pumps, and CIP skids.
  • Lead activities to complete action items from service reports and internal audit of CIP performance.
  • Maintain sanitation equipment labeling.
  • Perform emergency response activity including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, and tank cleaning.
  • Perform cleaning at elevations including working from ladders, scissor lifts, and scaffolding.
  • Perform cleaning utilizing a COP tank.
  • Perform chemical titrations.
  • Maintain and deliver chemical drums as needed.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of safe sanitation practices.
  • Follow all safety measures around hot pipes and chemicals, including wearing proper PPE.
  • Accurately document cleaning activities and maintain detailed records for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Participation in Gehl trainings, meetings, and team building.
  • Participate in training programs to stay up to date on safety guidelines and best practices; Mentor others in best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong detail orientation and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under time restraints and limited supervision
  • Ability to communicate and take direction in the English language
  • Able to work up to 10 hours and weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School or Equivalent Diploma.
  • 1 year of cleaning experience.
  • Principles and practices of sanitation in a food processing plant.
  • Previous chemical experience.
  • Have the physical ability to frequently push/pull a 55 gallon drum, climb, and regularly lift/carry up to 25 pounds, reach overhead, squat/bend/kneel, stand, and walk/move about.
