CIP Operator

Department: Sanitation
Office: Main Street
Location: Germantown, WI
Shift: 2nd Shift

Job Responsibilities

The list of tasks below is an overview and may not be all inclusive.

  • Safely follow all SSOP provide for task at hand.
  • Master Sanitation Schedule tasks will include assisting in CIP’s of filling machines.
  • Master Sanitation Schedule tasks will include the cleaning of walls, floors, ceilings, air vents, lights, overhead piping, and exterior surfaces of equipment used in the preparation/packaging/transferring of product.
  • Able perform emergency response activity including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, and tank cleaning.
  • Perform cleaning at elevations including working from ladders, scissor lifts, and scaffolding.
  • Perform cleaning utilizing a COP tank.
  • Perform chemical titrations.
  • Maintains and delivers chemical drums as needed up to 55 gallon drums.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of safe sanitation practices, when it comes to using water and chemicals around electrical boxes and panels. Able to operate steam driven hot water hoses safely.
  • Follows all safety measures around hot pipes and chemicals, including wearing proper PPE.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of sanitation practices, HACCP principals, chemical usages and application in a food environment to drive process improvements.
  • Able to work independently
  • Participation in Gehl trainings, meetings, and team building.
  • Documentation of all completed tasks on a Master Sanitation Schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong detail orientation and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under time restraints and limited supervision
  • Ability to communicate and take direction in the English language
  • Able to work up to 10 hours and weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School or Equivalent Diploma.
  • 1 year of cleaning experience.
  • Principles and practices of sanitation in a food processing plant.
  • Previous chemical experience.
