Warehouse Positive Release Operator

Department: Distribution
Office: Crusader Court
Location: Germantown, WI
Shift: 1st Shift

Position Overview

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for execution of Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) routines for positive release of finished products, ingredients and packaging materials. They will also assist in day to do functions of the warehouse when necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform COA verification and approval for ingredients in TraceGains Information System.
  • Perform zoning of COA and BOL in Tracegains
  • Execute positive release of ingredients and packaging materials in ERP information Systems and creation of holding events if necessary.
  • Coordinate hold events for ingredients and packaging materials, including routines in ERP information systems.
  • Perform ingredient and packaging sampling and inspection routines at receiving.
  • Execute FSQ routines in ingredient receiving, storage and handling area at Crusader warehouse.
  • Execute Hold process for ingredients and packaging materials
  • Execute quality assurance testing procedures.
  • Provide contribution towards root cause analysis to customer complaint investigations.
  • Provide contributions towards maintenance and improvement of FSQ documentation practices.
  • Accurately process customer orders in the Partial Pallet area. Pick, pack and wrap finished goods to order specification. Ensure all related documentation is accurate for order processing.
  • Unload, validate and inspect ingredients, packing materials, pallets and other materials from suppliers
  • Put away and assist with picking materials from various warehouse storage locations to support production needs
  • Use handheld scanners, Ross ERP System and other technology
  • Perform Warehouse sanitation and organization work as required
  • Other duties, as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to support warehouse functions in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • High School Education, GED, or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use various computer systems, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Warehouse and Inventory systems, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity
  • Ability to regularly push/pull 70 lbs and lift/carry 55lbs as well as sit, stand, squat, kneel, bend and move around the warehouse and office environments

  • BS in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or equivalent
  • Experience working in Food & Beverage or other regulated industry with high quality standards
  • Previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing and or distribution environment
