Senior Accountant Financial Accounting and Reporting

Department: Finance
Office: Whitney
Location: Germantown, WI
Shift: 1st Shift

Position Overview

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant, Financial Accounting and Reporting will oversee general ledger accounting and reporting activities, including supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial reports for lenders and investors, and completing monthly account reconciliations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports for distribution internally and externally.
  • Support the annual audit process, including preparation of documentation and working directly with external auditors.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform background checks on new suppliers and customers to determine credit worthiness and assist in maintenance of supplier and customer directory.
  • Help to implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Assist with tax and other compliance matters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 2+ years of related experience, manufacturing and/or public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Germantown, WI at least three days a week.
